And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein. 16 When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left. 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: this is that which thou hast been shunning. 19 And the trumpet blast will sound: It would be the Day of Doom. 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 You were heedless of this, but now We have removed your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his comrade shall say, 'This is what I have, made ready.' 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His companion will say: "O Lord, I did not lead him to wickedness, but he was himself far astray." 27 The Lord will say, "Do not argue in My presence; I had certainly sent you a warning. 28 The word will not be changed with Me, and never will I be unjust to the servants." 29
