Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
