The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah]; 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 by a burning fire 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 God encompasses them from all sides. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
