Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
