Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 the stars are dispersed, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
