The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 (Self-)destroyed were the owners of the ditch 4 the fire with its fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 and the One to whom belongs the heavens and the earth. God is the Witness of all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 [Inscribed] in a Preserved Slate. 22
