And the trumpet shall be blown, when lo! from their graves they shall hasten on to their Lord. 51 (nervously) exclaiming. “Alas for us! Who roused us out of our sleeping-place?” “This is what the Merciful One had promised, and what (His) Messengers had said was true.” 52 It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us. 53 Today, no soul shall be wronged a thing. You shall not be recompensed except according to your deeds. 54 The people of Paradise shall be happily occupied on that Day, 55 They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining; 56 Theirs shall be fruit therein and theirs shall be whatsoever they ask for. 57 'Peace!' -- such is the greeting, from a Lord All-compassionate. 58 "But stand aside today, O you who were lost in sin! 59 ۞ Did I not commit you, O children of Adam, not to worship Satan who is your acknowledged foe, 60 “And that you shall worship Me? This is the Straight Path.” 61 Yet he led astray a great multitude of you. Why did you not then understand? 62 This, then is Gehenna (Hell), that which you were promised. 63 "Embrace ye the (fire) this Day, for that ye (persistently) rejected (Truth)." 64 On that Day We shall set a seal on their mouths but their hands will speak unto Us, and their feet will bear witness to whatever they have earned [in life]. 65 NOW HAD IT BEEN Our will [that men should not be able to discern between right and wrong,] We could surely have deprived them of their sight, so that they would stray forever from the [right] way: for how could they have had insight [into what is true]? 66 And if it had been Our Will, We could have transformed them (to remain) in their places; then should they have been unable to move about, nor could they have returned (after error). 67
