Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
