The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when the camels are left untended, 4 when the savage beasts shall be mustered, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 The curtain drawn back from the skies, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by the night as it departs; 17 The rising dawn, 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
