The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The believers must (eventually) win through,- 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 and guard their private parts 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We created above you seven ways, and We were not heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 And on them and on the ships you are borne. 22
