Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ The Reality (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)! 1 How tremendous is the true event! 2 And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! 3 (The tribes of) Thamud and A'ad disbelieved in the judgment to come. 4 Thamood, they were destroyed by the violent shout (of Gabriel), 5 And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent; 6 He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. 7 Can you see any of their survivors? 8 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. 9 and rebelled against their Sustainer's apostles: and so He took them to task with a punishing grasp exceedingly severe! 10 Verily! When the water rose beyond its limits [Nuh's (Noah) Flood], We carried you (mankind) in the floating [ship that was constructed by Nuh (Noah)]. 11 In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. 12 When a single blow is blown on the Horn, 13 when the earth with all its mountains is lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 And so, that which must come to pass will on that day have come to pass; 15 And the heaven shall be rent in sunder, it on that Day shall be frail. 16 And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. 17 On that day you shall be exposed to view-- no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 Surely, I knew that I should meet my reckoning," 20 So he will be in a pleasant life - 21 In a lofty Garden 22 The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. 23 (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed' 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 and knew nothing of my reckoning. 26 Oh, would that it had been the ending! 27 "Of no profit to me has been my wealth! 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 Lay hold of him and chain him; 30 Then in the Scorch roast him 31 then in a chain of seventy cubits' length insert him! 32 He did not believe in God the supreme, 33 nor would he urge the feeding of the poor. 34 Today he has been left here friendless; 35 Nor food other than suppuration (filth) 36 "Which none do eat but those in sin." 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
