(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
