Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 Who know what you do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
