The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to the stinters; 1 Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure, 2 But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. 3 Do they not realize that they will be resurrected 4 On a grievous day, 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 NAY, VERILY, the record of the wicked is indeed [set down] in a mode inescapable! 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 A book inscribed. 9 Woe, on that Day, to those who reject, 10 Who call the Day of judgement a lie! 11 And none deny it except every sinful transgressor. 12 When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!" 13 No indeed! Their own deeds have cast a veil over their hearts. 14 Yes indeed – they will be deprived of seeing their Lord on that day. 15 Then verily they will be roasted into the Scorch. 16 And it will be said (unto them): This is that which ye used to deny. 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 and what will make you understand what the 'Illiyyin is? -- 19 It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed 20 To which bear witness those Nearest (to Allah). 21 Verily the pious will be in heaven, 22 On thrones, they shall gaze; 23 Thou wilt recognize in their faces the brightness of delight. 24 They will be given pure wine out of sealed containers 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 Blended with the water of Tasnim, (heights ultimate of evolution), 27 a fountain at which the chosen ones shall drink. 28 Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed, 29 when them passed them by winking at one another, 30 and when they returned to their own people, they would speak of them jestingly; 31 and when they saw them said: 'These are they who are astray' 32 Whereas they were not sent over them as watchers. 33 But on this Day the Believers will laugh at the Unbelievers: 34 as they sit on couches, gazing around. 35 Will not the disbelievers then be duly recompensed for their laughing at the believers? 36
