Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of this Book free of doubt and involution is from the Lord of all the worlds. 2 Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muhammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided. 3 IT IS GOD who has created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six aeons, and is established on the throne of His almightiness. You have none to protect you from God, and none to intercede for you [on Judgment Day]: will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 4 He disposeth every affair from the heaven unto the earth; thereafter it shall ascend unto Him in a Day the measure whereof is one thousand years of that which ye compute. 5 He knows all that is beyond as well as all that is within a creature's sense-perception. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate, 6 Who hath made everything exceeding good which He hath created. And He originated the creation of man from clay. 7 then He causes him to be begotten out of the essence of a humble fluid; 8 Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Tell them: “The angel of death who has been charged with your souls shall gather you, and then you shall be brought back to your Lord.” 11
