The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 He certainly has a strong love for wealth and riches. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
