۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 they have enraged us, 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 So We removed them from gardens and springs 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
