The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent Allah, 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man. 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 Therefore, maintain just measure and do not transgress against the Balance. 9 He positioned the earth for all the creatures: 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
