Nay, by the Moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 That Hell is surely one of the greater signs, 35 a warning to humans, 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 except those of the right hand 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 About the guilty: 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 "Till death overcame us." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
