By no means! By the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 About the guilty: 41 What hath brought you to this burning? 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Nay; this is an Exhortation. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 But they [who do not believe in the life to come] will not take it to heart unless God so wills: [for] He is the Fount of all God-consciousness, and the Fount of all forgiveness. 56
