The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our signs, but from them they were turning away. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 And We have certainly given you, [O Muhammad], seven of the often repeated [verses] and the great Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 For that which they have been working. 93 Promulgate thou that which thou art commanded, and turn away from the associaters. 94 Surely We suffice to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
