Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the midday brightness 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
