The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe to those that deal in fraud,- 1 those who, when they take from others by measure, take their full share; 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 Do such (men) not consider that they will be raised again 4 Unto an Awful Day, 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 Would that you knew what Sijin is!? 8 It is [their destination recorded in] a register inscribed. 9 Woe on that Day unto the beliers 10 Those who deny the Day of Justice. 11 Yet none gives the lie to it except the transgressor immersed in sin; 12 When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him he says: "Tales of the ancients!" 13 By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do! 14 No indeed; but upon that day they shall be veiled from their Lord, 15 Then they will indeed burn in Hell. 16 and they will be told, "This is what you were wont to belie." 17 No indeed! Verily, the deeds of the virtuous shall be in the record of the exalted ones. 18 And what will explain to thee what 'Illiyun is? 19 A written record, 20 which those angels closest to God will bear witness to. 21 Verily the pious will be in heaven, 22 upon couches gazing; 23 and in their faces you shall know the radiance of bliss. 24 They will be given to drink [pure] wine [which was] sealed. 25 With a sealing of musk, which those who aspire for the best should desire, -- 26 a wine whose mixture is Tasnim, 27 a source [of bliss] whereof those who are drawn close unto God shall drink. 28 Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed. 29 And winked at one another as they passed by them; 30 And when they returned to their own people, they would return jesting; 31 And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost." 32 But they had not been sent as keepers over them! 33 So, the believers will laugh at the infidels on that day, 34 upon couches gazing. 35 Are not the disbelievers paid (fully) for what they used to do? 36
