The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 By the Promised Day! 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, and the Loving. 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 The unbelievers are indeed engaged in denying it, calling it a lie, 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
