And recite to them the news of Abraham, 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They said: We worship idols, and are ever devoted unto them. 71 He asked, "Do they hear you when you call to them? 72 "Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?" 73 They replied, "But we found our fathers doing the same." 74 He said: Have you then considered what you have been worshipping: 75 Ye and your fathers of old? 76 Surely they are enemies to me, but not (so) the Lord of the worlds; 77 "Who created me, and it is He Who guides me; 78 And He Who gives me to eat and gives me to drink: 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me, 80 He will cause me to die and will bring me back to life. 81 And He Who, I long, shall forgive me my faults, on the Day of Requital. 82 [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And put me among the inheritors of Paradise. 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 "And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up;- 87 The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children 88 except for him who comes to God with a pure heart. 89 and Paradise shall be brought forward to the cautious. 90 and the Fire will be uncovered for those who strayed, 91 And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship 92 “Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?” 93 So they shall be thrown down into it, they and the erring ones, 94 And the whole hosts of Iblis (Satan) together. 95 And there and then, blaming one another, they [who had grievously sinned in life] will exclaim: 96 'By Allah, we were certainly in clear error, 97 when we deemed you [false deities] equal to the Sustainer of all the worlds 98 And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. 99 We have no intercessors now, 100 "'Nor a single friend to feel (for us). 101 If we could only return to the world and be among the believers." 102 Verily there is a sign in this, but many of them do not believe. 103 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
