Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The Reality! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what shall make thee know that which the Inevitable Calamity is. 3 THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and 'Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity! 4 The Thamuds were destroyed by a violent blast of sound. 5 and the 'Ad were destroyed by a furious wind 6 Which He imposed on them for seven long nights and eight long days so that thou mightest have seen men lying overthrown, as they were hollow trunks of palm-trees. 7 Do you now see any trace of them? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. 10 And when the waters rose (high) We carried you in the sailing (Ark), 11 so that We might make all this a [lasting] reminder to you all, and that every wide-awake ear might consciously take it in. 12 Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one), 13 the earth and mountains will be raised up high and crushed all together. 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 and heaven shall be split, for upon that day it shall be very frail, 16 The angels will stand on all its sides. And on that Day, eight (of them) will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. 17 That will be the Day when you shall be brought forth (before Allah) and no secret of yours shall remain hidden. 18 So as for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will say, "Here, read my record! 19 Verily I was sure that I should be a meeter of my reckoning. 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 with clusters of fruit within easy reach. 23 (And told:) "Eat and drink to your fill as reward for (good) deeds you had done in days of yore." 24 And whoever is given his book in his left hand he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” 25 and knew nothing of my reckoning. 26 Would it had been the end! 27 My wealth has not helped me a thing 28 [and] all my power of argument has died away from me!" 29 (It will be said): "Seize him and fetter him, 30 and then roast him in Hell, 31 Then fasten him with a chain seventy cubits long: 32 for he did not believe in Almighty God, 33 Nor he urged on others the feeding of the poor. 34 So there is not for him here this Day any devoted friend 35 Nor any food except refuse, 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37
