Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 With your Lord alone will be the retreat that Day. 12 On that day, people will be informed of all that they had done and all that they were supposed to do. 13 In fact, man himself is keeping an eye on his state of affairs! 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 Again on Us (devolves) the explaining of it. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?" 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
