Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
