And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 for what they have done 93 Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers. 94 Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 And worship thy Lord until there cometh unto thee the certainty. 99
