▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 A Revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 and We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us -- 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
