The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 by the dawn-raiders 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 Penetrating deep into the armies, 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Surely their Lord will be aware of their (deeds). 11
