The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 and [man] will have neither strength nor helper! 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
