Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
