He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 And what do you know, he may be of the pure! 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 You pay full attention, 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 But as to him who came to you running. 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 From him you are distracted. 10 These verses are a reminder 11 So let whosoever will pay heed to it, 12 It is contained in scrolls highly honoured, 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 [borne] by the hands of messengers 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 [Does man ever consider] out of what substance [God] creates him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 then eased his path for him, 20 Then He causeth him to die, and putteth him in his grave; 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 We send down abundant water, 25 then We split the earth in fissures 26 Then We cause therein the grain to grow, 27 And grapes and herbage, 28 and the olive, and the palm, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 And fruits and herbage 31 A provision for you and for your cattle. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 On the Day a man will flee from his brother 34 And his mother and his father 35 his wife and his sons: 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 laughing, and rejoicing, 39 whereas some faces will be covered with dust 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
