The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 He will heed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
