We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape; 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 And (remember) when thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am creating a mortal out of potter's clay of black mud altered, 28 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down making obeisance to him. 29 All the angels prostrated themselves, 30 Except Iblis (Satan), - he refused to be among the prostrators. 31 [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" 32 "How could I bow," said he, "before a mortal whom You created from fermented clay dried tingling hard?" 33 (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed. 34 A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense' 35 He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised' 36 He answered: 'You are among those reprieved 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 He said: my Lord! because Thou hast led me to err I will surely make things fairseeming unto them on the earth and will surely seduce them all: 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 over My servants thou shalt have no authority, except those that follow thee, 42 Surely Hell is the promised place for all of them." 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
