۞ Say to them, "I exhort you to do one thing: and that is to stand up before God in pairs, or singly, and then reflect. You will thus realize that your companion is not afflicted with madness. He is only a warner, warning you of an impending severe chastisement." 46 Say: "No reward have I ever asked of you [out of anything] that is yours: my reward rests with none but God, and He is witness unto everything!" 47 Say: 'My Lord hurls the truth -- the Knower of the Unseen.' 48 Say: “The Truth has come and falsehood can neither originate nor recreate anything.” 49 Say, "If I should err, I would only err against myself. But if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me. Indeed, He is Hearing and near." 50 And if you could but see, when they will be terrified with no escape (for them), and they will be seized from a near place. 51 And then they will say: we believe therein. But whence can there be the attainment of faith from a place so afar. 52 For they had disbelieved in it before; and they hurl allegations without seeing, from far away. 53 And a barrier is set between them and that which they desire, as it was done before with their like; they were in suspicious doubt' 54
