The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them). 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
