We rescued the Israelites from the humiliating torment 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 Yet these say: 34 'There is nothing except the first death, we shall never be revived. 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Indeed, the Day of Judgement is the appointed time for them all - 40 (when wrong will be distinguished from right). On this day friends will be of no benefit to one another, nor will they receive any help 41 Apart from those to whom God is kind. He is all-mighty and all-merciful. 42
