▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 In a Book Hidden. 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
