By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 Upon the day when the first blast shivers 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 [And yet,] some say: "What! Are we indeed to be restored to our former state 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow in virtue? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 And assembled and proclaimed, 23 And then said, "I am your most supreme lord." 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 In this, behold, there is a lesson indeed for all who stand in awe [of God]. 26
