The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, 3 Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)]. 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Indeed, surely the human is very insolent 6 Because he sees himself self-sufficient. 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth 9 A votary when he (turns) to pray? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 or bade to godfearing -- 12 What thinkest thou? If he cries lies, and turns away - 13 Does he not realize that God sees him? 14 Let him beware! If he does not desist, We will drag him by the forelock -- 15 A forelock, lying, sinning. 16 Then, let him call his assembly, 17 We too would summon the braves of the army. 18 Nay! (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him))! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah! ۩ 19
Almighty God's Truth.
