Al-Hijjr 3 of 6
And assuredly We have created human being from ringing clay of loam moulded. 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 29 Therefore all the angels, each and every one of them, fell prostrate. 30 But Satan did not; he refused to join those who prostrated themselves. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 33 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 34 "And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)." 35 Iblis prayed, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Judgment". 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 till that Appointed Day." 38 He said, “My Lord! I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I shall distract them in the earth, and I shall lead all of them astray.” 39 "Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them." 40 He said: This is a right way with Me: 41 Over My true servants you will be able to exercise no power, your power will be confined to the erring ones, those who choose to follow you. 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 Seven gates it has, and unto each gate a set portion of them belongs.' 44

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
