The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers. 105 Behold, their brother Noah said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 For this I ask of you no wage, for my wage falls only on the Lord of the Worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 If only you would realize, their account is with my Lord. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned." 116 He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me. 117 Judge among us and save me and the believers with me". 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 122
