We sent Noah to his people and he lived among them for fifty short of a thousand years; then the deluge overtook them, for they were wrongdoers. 14 But We saved him and those with him in the ark, and made it a sign for the creatures of the world. 15 And We sent Ibrahim. Recall what time he said unto his people: worship Allah, and fear Him; that is best for you if ye but knew. 16 You worship idols besides God and you create falsehood. Whatever you worship besides Him cannot provide you with anything for your sustenance. Seek your sustenance from the bounties of God. Worship Him. Give Him thanks. To Him you will all return." 17 But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly. 18 Do they not see how God originates creation, then reverts it back? This is indeed how inevitably the law of God works; 19 Say thou: go about in the land and behold what wise He hath originated creation; and then Allah shall produce another production; verily Allah is over everything Potent. 20 Punish whom He will, and have mercy on whom He please. And to Him will you be brought back in the end. 21 You cannot defeat His purpose on earth or in heaven; nor have you any friend or helper besides God." 22

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
