We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
