Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 And a fish swallowed him, and he was reproaching himself. 142 And were he not one of those who praise. 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him. 146 We sent him as a messenger to a hundred thousand people or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have ye an authority manifest? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 You and whatever you worship 161 can cause anyone to fall prey to your temptation 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 and, verily, we too extol His limitless glory!" 166 And there were those who said, 167 If we had but a reminder from the men of old 168 we would surely have been God's chosen servants," 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 that they shall receive Our help 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So turn thou aside from them for a season. 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 178 And watch and they shall see (the torment)! 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
