The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed, 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 By the angels hastening, 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 (Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled - 17 And say: 'Would you like to grow (in virtue)? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); 21 and hastily turned away, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 you pay attention 25 In this there is a lesson for those who have fear of God. 26
