The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 who give charity, 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 The living germ, then, was turned into a shapeless lump of flesh from which bones were formed. The bones, then, were covered with flesh. At this stage, We caused it to become another creature. All blessings belong to God, the best Creator. 14 Then after that you will most surely die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
