Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth did not avail him, nor his acquisitions. 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
