AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And commemorate Isma'il, Elisha, and Zul-Kifl: Each of them was of the Company of the Good. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 They will be comfortably seated; reclining, they will call for abundant fruit and drink; 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 Their leaders will be told, "This band will also be thrown headlong with you into hell." Their leaders will exclaim, "May condemnation fall upon them! Let them suffer the torment of fire". 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 All this is certainly true -- the inhabitants of the Fire will blame one another in this way. 64
